Chemical peels

Chemical peels use a chemical solution to remove the outer layer of skin and stimulate the growth of new skin cells. Your skin looks brighter and skincare products are absorbed better after treatment. Peels differ in their strength, as aggressive types go deeper to provide more benefit but also require more downtime. You can improve :-

Acne or acne scars

Age and liver spots

Fine lines and wrinkles

Freckles

Irregular skin pigmentation/MELASMA

Rough skin and scaly patches

Sun damaged skins

Most chemical peels are used in conjunction with skin care products to significantly boost the results for the concern presented: acne, lightening, pore reduction, rejuvenation.  Usually 5-6 treatments are recommended 2-3 weeks apart and then maintenance treatments are recommended for optimal long term results, every 2-3 months.

The chemical peels we have chosen are considered “lunch-time” peels in that you should be able to have one and resume your activities and makeup immediately.  Occasionally, there is peeling, but generally speaking it is quite mild.

Side effects:- Besides a mild sting during the procedure and a slight dryness there after, no side effects have been reported.

Precautions after peel:- Post peel care is very important. Do not wash your face or the treated area for 10 – 12 hours. Wear sunscreen. Do not use any scrub, pack or treatment creams till 3 days after the peel. Do not bleach 1 week. Not to indulge in activities that can cause sweating or flushing of the skin (Jogging, Sauna/Steam etc) for 3-4 days.
